Brief history – Welcome
“Your son suffers…SCI, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, agenesis of the corpus callosum…” Parents facing a serious diagnosis can feel lonely towards the problem and the pain. Lost in an unknown scenario they need information.
To try to knock down that solitute and confusion, to comfort parents whose children suffer some kind of disability whether it is from birth, accident or illness, to inform them and guide them from a deep Christian perspective and always for free, Fundación Belén was created.
Born as a result of a personal experience from its founders, Fundación Belen’s aim is to offer, as its logo shows – a lighthouse – clear references, be a helping hand at night.
Fundación Belén has its headquarters in Spain, but it’s already offering all its resources across Latin America. Fundación Belén was recognized in the “Spanish Official Gazette” (BOE) on October the 14th, 1996, it is registered in the Ministry of Education under number 295.
We want to offer a little bit of light to every family with any problem with one of his children. We offer information, comprehension, training and if possible, hope. It is made from love and generosity, from a Christian point of view.
Whatever happens to you it concerns me. I’ve had in my arms for three years a sick girl. I know how it feels to suffer. Thus why I wish to help you. If you, once you’ve solved your problem, want to help other families, these are your pages. This is your site. We want to build a long chain of free help.
The information offered by Fundación Belén is free and can be freely used, but please mention your source of information. These pages’ objective is to inform and should not be used as a medical, psychiatric or psychological advice. None of these pages contents can be used as a medical diagnosis, or as a treatment, or to substitute a professional o psychological consultation.
